Principles of stroke order (5)

The outer frame (for enclosures) comes first.  But the bottom stroke comes last:






















You can see in this example, meaning country(くに)that three sides of the enclosure are written, then the center radical, meaning jewel, is written before being finished with the final last stroke at the base.

Mnemonic: My country (New Zealand) is a jewel, enclosed by oceans.
